This park near Parkview High School is a great
place to spend some outdoor recreation time. A
swimming pool with a wading pool and a slide
will keep you cool in the hot summer. There are
picnic tables, open shelters with restrooms and
grills for that family picnic. Also available are
children's and adolescent play equipment,one
lighted softball field, outdoor basketball court
and two outdoor unlighted handball courts. An
open play area is great for a game of football
or frisbee. Fassnight Creek is accessible for
stream exploration. Though there are no hiking
paths, walking along the creek is relatively easy.
There is a year-round spring that empties into
the creek. Nut trees abound in this park, and so
do squirrels.
