Moving Kansas City!
For The Planet For Our Future
On
Saturday, September 24th, ordinary
people around the world will get moving toward a climate-safe,
clean energy world by taking part in Moving Planet.
Here in KC, we'll gather at 10:30 a.m. in front
of Union Station, and then begin walking and
biking to Downtown Kansas City, Missouri at 11 a.m.
(if you're unable to walk or bike with us, you're welcome
to meet us at City Hall at 12th & Oak about
11:45 a.m.). When we get there, we'll petition
the City to implement policies that dedicate funding
to improve conditions for walking and biking in KC and
make our streets friendly to everyone, not just drivers.
Then we'll head south to the Crossroads to celebrate
the day. Please join us as we build a movement strong
enough to get KC and the rest of the world moving fossil
fuel-free!
