Ozark Chapter Award Categories
Distinguished Service: our highest award. It is given for many years of outstanding and distinguished service to the Ozark Chapter and its groups.
Sierran of the year: for outstanding service to the Ozark Chapter and its groups, either during the past year, over several years, or both.
Citizen Conservationist: for significant contributions to the improvement of Missouri's environment by an individual or an organization.
Public Official: for significant achievements in protecting Missouri's environment by elected, appointed, or career government officials at any level of government.
Environmental Communications: for significant achievement in effective communications on the environment by persons in the media and educational institutions.
Industry: for significant achievements in protecting Missouri's environment by business and industry leaders and organizations.
Outings: for significant contributions to the outings programs of the Ozark Chapter and its groups.
Special Recognition: for significant efforts on behalf of Missouri's environment that do not fit into any other categories.
Note: Not all categories are awarded each year. Some categories may have more than one recipient in a given year.
