Subject: Public Comment on the Mercury Rule, Docket #OAR-2002-0056

Example Comment:
Dear EPA Administrator,
I strongly urge you to cut mercury emissions from power plants by 90 percent by 2008. The best way to protect women and children from mercury is to eliminate it from its largest, unregulated source: power plants. Two years ago, EPA's own scientists said current technologies could achieve a 90 percent reduction of mercury from plants. The proposed rule falls far short of that mark and leaves fetuses, babies, and children at higher risk for developmental and learning problems. We can do better.
